In Orbit, you ride the rim of a spinning circle and wait for the right moment to jump. One button launches your little square away from the circle's centre, so where you are on the rim decides where you fly. Catch the next circle, bounce off the cave walls and sloped rock ledges, and keep climbing through a glowing volcanic cave while the lava rises beneath you. Miss a jump and you might get a second chance on the way down; wait too long and the lava catches you. It's an endless one-button arcade climber built in Unity.
Play it right here: Space, click or tap to jump
Your position on the circle decides where you launch. Wait for the right angle, then press Space, click or tap to send your square flying. Catch another circle to ride its rim and line up the next jump. The side walls and rocky ledges bounce you onto a new route, or straight into trouble, and the ledges slope down from the wall, so where you hit them matters too. A menu click or tap only presses that button; it never launches you by accident.
The climb is generated as you go: circles and rocky ledges are laid out at random, and a ledge is only placed where it leaves you a way up. Higher up, the circles spin faster, falling rocks knock you off course, and blue circles reverse direction after every full turn. Below you, the lava never stops rising, so reading the next jump is only half the challenge. Knowing when to go is the other half.
Orbit is built in Unity 6 with C# and the Universal Render Pipeline's 2D renderer. Each new circle and ledge is checked against the jump that leads to it, so the endless climb stays fair while the difficulty scales with height. The glowing circles, molten ledges and flowing lava use custom shaders, and the sloped ledges are built as meshes at runtime so their art and collision always match. Automated editor and play-mode checks generate long climbs and test every ledge for fairness. The game runs in the browser through WebGL and keeps your best height on your device.
